Hotel 1829 was originally built in1829 as a home for Alexander Lavalette, a wealthy French sea merchant. Standing in front of the hotel, you can still see his initials in the wrought iron of the upstairs balcony. In this courtyard stands the world’s largest Amber waterfall. This majestic waterfall fountain is made up of 12,000 pieces of amber.
