Day Sail

Sonic Charters was started in late 2012 as a new boating concept in the the Virgin Islands to offer guests an overall better boating experience. Tired of the bareboats and other charters with no snorkel gear, no sound systems, no fresh water showers, inexperienced "local" captains, and other shortfalls? We set out to provide a service that offers all the amenities that guests could imagine onboard our sleek 32' Intrepid Center Console.

Your sail will take you from St.Thomas to the St. John National Park or surrounding cays. We have no set itinerary so your day will be tailored to maximize your enjoyment and make this the best day of your vacation.

After an hour or two sailing the protected waters of the Virgin Islands we will anchor in a quiet cove. As you snorkel, swim, beach comb, or simply relax aboard sunning on deck or under the shade of the awning an elegant lunch will be prepared for you by the chef/captain.

Come sailing on Survivan, a beautiful 46' Jeanneau sloop, and have what will be one of the highlights of your vacation to St. John! Survivan’s oversized cockpit has a full bimini for plenty of shade. Snorkeling in the crystal clear water is a breeze with our open stern, swim ladder and fresh water rinse. Whether you want to sit back and relax or take a turn at the helm we offer a custom sailing trip to fit your needs. Options include: full day with gourmet lunch and two snorkel stops and a half day which is a three hour tour with one snorkel stop.

Sail with Liberty is a beautiful, soulful boat. The owners love to sail and snorkel and truly enjoy sharing this fantastic experience with others. Liberty offers half and full day sailing trips, including beers, sodas, water, and a cooler full of ice for you to store anything else you want to bring, such as a picnic lunch (available from neighborhood shops). The captain is fun and experienced in providing a safe, relaxing way to explore the beauty of our islands.
