Sloop Jones’ vibrant and colorful shirts, dresses, and other “wearable art” have long embodied the beautiful and creative spirit of St. John. Now, Sloop Jones is giving guests the chance to play Sloop for a day with his Shirt of Art workshops. Students are invited to make themselves at home in McKoy’s studio, where he’s amassed numerous paints, stencils, brushes, tools, and other resources that are at guests’ fingertips as they make their own creations.

Sloop Jones is an art studio located on St. John's pristine East End, 15 minutes past Skinny Legs and five minutes past Vie's. Sloop, aka Terry McKoy, is most well-known for his hand-painted clothing, whose distinct bright colors and tropical themes are easily recognized by those who live on and love St. John.

Local Artist, Elaine Estern, showcases her work at her studio/home in Frank Bay. Just past Gallows Point, you will find Estern painting scenic vistas while her two chocolate labs take a nap at her feet. You will find a large assortment of original artwork, reproductions and souvenir items.

The father of French Impressionism, Camille Pissarro was born and raised in Charlotte Amalie. His childhood home is now an art gallery featuring artwork from dozens of artists including Camille Pissarro himself.
